First identify your television system

Samsung TVs commonly use Tizen, LG TVs use webOS, while Sony, Philips, Hisense and other models may use Android TV or Google TV. The model year and region determine which IPTV players appear in the app store.

TV systemWhere to startWhat to check
Samsung / TizenOpen the Samsung app store and search for a compatible IPTV player.Model year, playlist login support and any separate player licence.
LG / webOSOpen LG Content Store and check compatible player availability.Xtream Codes or M3U support, EPG and remote navigation.
Android TV / Google TVOpen Google Play and compare compatible IPTV players.Hardware decoding, EPG, favorites and playlist format.
Older or unsupported TVConsider a Fire TV Stick or another supported external device.HDMI availability, Wi-Fi stability and 4K support if required.

Add your subscription

  1. Install a compatible player. Use the television’s official app store where possible. IBO Player is one option; StrongTVPro also sells a separate player activation that includes no channels.
  2. Open the playlist or login screen. Select Xtream Codes for a server URL, username and password, or M3U for a playlist link.
  3. Follow the player’s pairing instructions. Some TV players ask you to register a device or MAC address on their own website. Check that you are using the player’s official website.
  4. Wait for synchronization. Large channel and VOD libraries may take time on first load. Refresh the programme guide separately if required.
  5. Test everyday features. Check search, favorites, subtitles, audio, live TV and VOD. Verify 4K only with content and hardware that support it.

Player activation and IPTV subscription are different purchases. Activating IBO Player Pro alone does not provide channels or an IPTV service.

When a Firestick is the simpler option

If your television app store has no suitable player, the interface is slow or the model no longer receives updates, an external Fire TV or Android TV device can provide a more flexible app selection. Test compatibility before purchasing additional hardware.
